What the U15-1 Academy is
One track for high school freshmen who want more: indoor and beach through the whole school year, and how an evaluation works.

What the Academy is
The U15-1 Academy is the club's track for the player who wants a life that fits around her training rather than a team that fits into her life. It runs indoor and beach in one program through the whole school year: three-hour indoor practices twice a week with strength work built in, sand sessions at the Nocatee county courts, and a schedule that moves around her high school indoor and beach seasons so her development never stops. Academy players also get coaching through those school seasons at no extra cost.
The standard is What Great Looks Like®: repetition until the right movement is the only movement, detail that is never "close enough", and practices built to be harder than the match. High standards, delivered with respect. We push hard and never tear an athlete down to do it.
How an evaluation works
Call or text Coach Andor at (310) 435-5840. He will set up a private evaluation at the facility, watch her play, and tell you honestly whether the Academy is the right team for her. Coaches who know a player he should be talking to are welcome to reach out as well.

More from the gym
- The screens beside our courts replay every rep. Here is why.A player sees her own arm swing a few seconds after she made it, while the coach is still talking. What delayed video review does for a 12-year-old, and why we built it into the gym.
- Coaches, slow down. A tryout story.A coach who had never met her asked a player to move five feet and change her platform in the middle of a tryout. What happened next is why we tell players to say thank you and play their game.
- Volleyball Pattern Training®, explained for parents. Why the squat she lifts with is the squat she passes from, what the eight VPT episodes cover, and why every club practice starts with thirty minutes in the strength room.
